Data documentation app saves time and simplifies data transmission
DataDiary: Practical Miele solution for laboratories
Whether visibly soiled or microbiologically contaminated: In reprocessing laboratory glassware, the documentation of process data in the interests of quality assurance is key. The Miele DataDiary app is as reliable as it is time-saving. It automatically receives cycle reports from a lab washer, allowing protocols to be created on a tablet PC – without the need for a cable, USB device or other intermediate steps.
For employees in laboratories, data transmission, approvals and data archiving is a repetitive task which involves considerable effort. This typically begins with a printout or the transfer of data to a PC, often comprising data from several consecutive cycles. And the more data needing to be saved, the longer the time spent away from more pressing tasks.
But now, Miele Professional has a simpler and faster solution. Using the new DataDiary app, a lab washer now sends its reprocessing data directly to a tablet PC. This occurs immediately at the end of each process stage, fully automatically and without any intervention on the part of staff. The documentation as such is also performed by DataDiary. Each employee using the system is identified by entering a password or using a chipcard.
'DataDiary is convincing on account of its simple and intuitive interface which allows staff more time to devote to core duties', says Michael Sedlag, Head of Product Management - Medical and Laboratory Technology at Miele. With this, Miele has further extended its holistic range of products for greater security and maximum convenience in laboratories. This app is available for the Android operating system and, from the end of June 2018, for iOS – and is compatible with PG 8583, PG 8583 CD and PG 8593 lab washers.
